I have lost over 100lbs with more to go having Jennifer as my trainer. Having said that I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing because while losing 100lbs is an accomplishment it’s also embarrassing having that much to lose.
During my first consultation I told her what I wanted from these work outs and what my expectations were. She has tailored my Personal Training to my likes which makes me want to do them. Jen’s knowledge of nutrition and willingness to answer my food questions has made my transformation that much more easier. Her ideas to substitute one food for another in a recipe is just one example of all the things she encompasses. She creates a road map to get you where you want to be.
We started with weekly PT and I have transitioned to On Your Own work outs. What she offers in her PT is consistency and compassion. For example, I would ask her why I was doing a particular exercise and she would explain its purpose. After a while I just stopped asking her and began trusting that she was giving me the best work out for me. I encourage everyone to ask her questions so they can see the depth of her knowledge.
My weigh ins weren’t always a positive experience, but it’s through her compassion that I have learned to give myself grace when encountering these set backs. She is more like a lifestyle coach because she has helped me transition into what I want to be and what my expectations were.
Jennifer is not there to take your money and fill your head with nonsense. What she offers is a cerebral experience and a road map to what you want to be. If you're serious about taking this journey I would highly recommend her. With all that being said, Jennifer is not going to do it for YOU!
I noticed results in such a short amount of time, and I was so grateful for her guidance as I learned more and dove deeper into my fitness goals. I have attended a range of classes taught under her expertise from barre to 1-on-1 personal training sessions. She has proven her exceptional knowledge of how the body moves time and again, and I knew instantly she was the coach for me. Not to mention, her warmth and caring personality always motivated me during the sessions to push myself even more than I thought possible. When I first met Jen, I came to a gym having no idea how to properly work out. I was struggling with pain and movement limitations because of muscle loss. I was beyond scared of injuring myself from lack of knowledge and muscle weakness. Jen listened to me and my story; not only did she give me support for my medical trauma, she tailored a workout regime that taught me how to focus in on my muscle weakness and also teach me proper techniques.
One of the best things Jen taught me was how to ensure I was engaging the correct muscle or muscle group. I came to Jen with the intention of strengthening my leg muscles and she tailored not only that focus but also helped to strengthen my entire body. Jen was my personal trainer for several months, but not only was she my trainer she also became someone I could rely on for emotional support. When I would talk about stress eating Jen would help me uncover the WHY behind the eating. She would even suggest alternatives. When Jen moved on to bigger and brighter things she ensured my needs were still met and gave me the confidence I truly needed in myself.
I strongly recommend Jen for your future coach and personal trainer because not only will she guide you to a stronger, better you but she will also teach you how to hold yourself accountable to your own expectations. Jen has a heart of gold and genuinely cares for anyone she interacts with.
Walking into a fitness center at 6-foot and 430lbs was one hardest thing to do. Not knowing much about “working out” and knowing nothing about the science behind working out coupled with the fear of being judged had always kept me away. I’m glad that I made the decision to overcome my fear and begin my journey. A journey that would not have been possible without Jen. From the very beginning it was clear to me that Jen truly cared about my success. She took the time to get to know me, time to understand what motivates me and the time to explain the process of my journey.
She prepared quality workouts geared towards my abilities and demonstrated the correct way to perform those workouts. She was also there to push me through those workouts, encouraging me to complete those extra reps pushing me to perform to my maximum potential. Over the course of my journey Jen was there to provide the dietary guidance necessary to reach my goals along the way. Setting weekly calorie ranges, adjusting up or down as needed. She was always there support me, never judging me or my food choice as she understands that we are all human and somedays a giant double cheeseburger is needed. We would discuss that day together and look for alternative foods or activities to combat those days in the future.
Those were the moments that reaffirmed to me that Jen cared about me as person, not just a weekly client. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone looking to improve themselves.
